Διάσωση Σκουφοβουτηχταριών στην ακτή του Καλαμακίου

Σήμερα το πρωί, 1η Φεβρουαρίου, εντοπίστηκαν στην ακτή του Καλαμακίου (Ν. Χιλή) 8 Σκουφοβουτηχτάρια, με συμπτώματα πετρελαίωσης. Στελέχη του Φορέα Διαχείρισης διέσωσαν τα πουλιά, τα οποία δεν μπορούσαν να πετάξουν και είχαν έντονη τη μυρωδιά του πετρελαίου, το οποίο ήταν εμφανές και στο πτέρωμά τους. Extraordinary observations in Evros Delta

One of the rarest birds in Greece, which is included in “The list of rare birds of Greece”, was observed one more time in Evros Delta, during the scientific monitoring of Management Authority personnel. Το Δέλτα του Έβρου και γενικότερα οι υγρότοποι έχουν μεγάλη αξία για τη φύση, την άγρια ζωή και τον άνθρωπο. Οι λειτουργίες και αξίες τους είναι πολλαπλές, πολύπλοκες και πολύτιμες. Ιδιαίτερη αξία έχουν οι υγρότοποι για το νερό, καθώς το αποθηκεύουν για να χρησιμοποιείται από τα φυτά και τα ζώα, αλλά και από τον άνθρωπο για ύδρευση και άρδευση. Thousands of water birds and other species find shelter every winter in Evros Delta, coming from Northern countries.
